Where are our recent graduates now?

After successful completion of the required 36 months of training in pediatrics, graduates over the past 30 years have either remained with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group (40 percent), entered subspecialty training (22 percent overall; 35 percent in the last five years), or embarked on a wide variety of other professional endeavors (e.g. hospital pediatrics, academics, medical administration, and working with the underserved population).

Of our most recent graduates, 2 are in fellowship (Community Medicine at KP Fontana, Peds Hem/Onc at UCSF Children’s Hospital, Oakland, CA) four are in general pediatrics.
