How I Thrive: Daily coffee and high fiber diet (I have studies to prove both). I also enjoy doing triathlons and snowboarding, albeit poorly for both sports.
Other: Though I was born and raised in the East Coast, I have since become a successful Southern California transplant. When HealthConnect isn't depleting my eyes of moisture, I can be found playing/winning Overwatch, Netflix/chilling with my fiancé, or enjoying the SoCal weather with friends.

Other: I was born in New York, lived in Ohio, but have spent most of my life in Southern California. Outside of medicine, my main interests are in playing and watching sports. I am an avid Lakers, Dodgers, and Cal Bears fan.

How I Thrive: I thrive by finding new places to eat. I enjoy sharing a good meal with company and trying dishes/cuisines I haven't encountered before.
Other: I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the bay area when I was 9. I then decided to pursue medicine in college since it was mentally challenging for me. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new cities and experiencing the local cuisine.

How I Thrive: I thrive by staying active. I love to be outdoors, whether it’s walking my dogs, swimming, or fishing in Big Bear.
Other: I was born at Kaiser Permanente, Fontana, and grew up in Southern California. In my spare time, I like to mountain bike in the local foothills and hike Mt. Baldy.

Robert Liu, MD

How I Thrive: Being around family, friends, and being able to pursue my hobbies such as staying fit, video gaming, and going to Disneyland.
Other: I was born in Torrance, CA and was raised there my whole life until I left for medical school. I enjoy playing basketball, video games, and beach activities.

How I Thrive: Running marathons, reading news, watching all of the movies, traveling, and hanging out with my niece and nephew.
Other: I am the youngest of three children and have spent most of my life here in Southern California. I tend to laugh a lot so get ready for your inner comedian’s self esteem to soar through the roof!

How I Thrive: I thrive by spending time with others. I enjoy traveling, sightseeing, and trying new foods. My favorite pastime activities include binge watching TV shows, listening to upbeat Punjabi music, and going to the beach.
Other: I was born in India and moved to the United States when I was twelve. I have lived in So Cal since then.

How I Thrive: I thrive by being with nature which is a huge source of healing for me whether I am out in a remote place in the wilderness or even just appreciating what we have around us here locally. I also enjoy my friends and family and really try to be present with them when we are together.
Other: I was born in the Central Valley but moved to SoCal in 2000 and have lived here ever since. I currently live in Eastvale CA with my wife and two cats.

How I Thrive: I thrive by staying active with hiking and yoga to relax my body and mind. I also enjoy cooking healthy meals with my family and growing my own fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs in my garden.
Other: Growing up in Southern California has made me appreciate the natural beauty of this area and the diverse communities. I love going on hikes and enjoying time at the beach along the coast. The beauty of Southern California makes for a great artistic muse so I enjoy seeing art from local artists and going to some of the many exciting museums.

Other: I was raised in the San Gabriel Valley, and I am excited to return to Southern California to pursue my postgraduate training. I know KP will equip me with the tools necessary to deliver compassionate care to our diverse population.

How I Thrive: running, hiking, tennis and gardening
Other: I grew up in Macau, a city in China well known as the Las Vegas of Asia. Moved to the US at the age of 14 and since then has been living in Irvine CA. During my free time, I enjoy hitting the gym, hiking, herb/vegetable gardening, as well as hanging out with friends on a Friday night.

Aung (Steven) Lin, DO

How I Thrive: I thrive by staying active via running and spending quality time with my family and friends. I have a keen interest in gardening and collecting rare plants. I am an avid tea drinker and I also enjoy exploring and reviewing local restaurants.
Other: I was born in Burma (Myanmar), immigrated to the US when I was seven, and lived in Philadelphia, Chicago, Fresno, and Seattle before settling down in sunny Southern California. I grew up in a family of physicians so the vocation of medicine and the art of healing is close to my heart. I am passionate about mentoring and teaching, having previously taught English in Northern Thailand as a Fulbright scholar.
